Bachelor Science Dietetics: Study Week 03

Image
Assalamualaikum, It's hard to believe that the third sem is almost over. I'm in my study week now. I feel like it's now a must for me to write something here every study week since I rarely even update this blog. Been extra busy with everything. How's life?  Yup, STILL trying out all sort of stuffs. I'm such a lucky girl for having many chances to do the things not everyone can even dream of. Something that I learnt, Allah always has the best plan for you. What you have to do is just live your life accordingly. Don't let go of the chances given to you. People thought I would be chosen as an MTM for the 16/17 session but surprisingly I didn't. At first, I really did question it. Was I not worthy enough ? But then, as the semester starts, I got to be involved in much bigger events that I wouldn't have participated in if I was an MTM. I got to be a 'penyambut tetamu' during the convocation season,  I also went to Thaila

Bachelor Science Dietetics: 2nd Sem Break (Almost Over)

Assalamualaikum, Yup, I've posted more chapters. Realising that I am such a brat for not posting them for so long, I just think this is the least that I can do. Furthermore, I found out that someone are still reading them and this makes me touched, a bit, okay no, like a lot. Thanks to those people who are still loyal and sorry from the bottom of my heart for not posting frequently. I'm literally a bad person. Don't worry, there are not much chapters left. You'll get your ending soon, I promise ;) The writing is not that magnificent, right? But hey, I'm a beginner, so please do cut me some slack. In just a few days time, I'll be starting my second year as a Dietetic student. Yes, I spent more than 2 months at home. I thought I got over the nerves but turned out I am still anxious about college life. When will I ever gain enough self-confidence?  Um, I already know my second year roommate but that's not the case for hou

First Year Dietetics: Subject Summary

This is not a typical short and sweet update. It’s going to be a long one which is kind of rare for me these days. Okay, I know I’ve been writing about my undergraduate life a lot but this post is strictly to talk about my program, Bachelor Science (Dietetics). As I just recently finished my first year, I’m going to talk about what I’ve basically learnt.              Before we start, let me just give some facts. I am an undergraduate in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), currently studying Dietetics. I went to an interview in May 2015. There were 2000 applicants, about 100 of them were called to be interviewed and eventually only 29 of us were chosen before another 3 were brought in for the second intake. So, there are 32 of us. I did go to another interview for the same program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) which I obviously flunked. This was surprising because I found the interview at UPM to be much harder and thorough. The interview took 30 minutes when in contra

Bachelor Science Dietetics: Study Week 02

Assalamualaikum, It's study week right now. How lucky are we to be able to go home for Ramadhan this year? The first day of the study week was the first day of Ramadhan. So, clearly I am where I needed to be right now. Home. Um, studying is going pretty well. I don't know if this is the correct pace that I should study but I have like lots of time left until my next paper. So, I try not to be too stressed out.  Sem 2 is coming to an end real soon. Like, about 2 weeks time. I know I've done amazingly good for my first year as an undergrad student. I was involved. Very involved, in fact. It was my goal after our Minggu Perkasa Putra. Everyone who gave speech during MPP stated about how one shouldn't be 'too studious'. One should be involved in as many activities outside of class as he/she can. Gain new skills and harvest experience. So, I did and it was wonderful. Take the advice, kids. Don't be too studious. Unfortunately, be

Beautiful Mess

Assalamualaikum, I think this is the very first time that I update a post while I'm in college. Reason; We've got ourselves a new wifi now, everybody! Applause! Finally *sighs* Uspot was a complete and utter disgrace as I can't even use it once since I came to UPM. Hopefully this wifi will continue to not disappoint. For someone with so many stuffs being cramped in her head, I have nothing to really write about. This semester is coming to an end in about a month. Clearly, I'm hoping time would pass faster because of the stack of works I'm obligated to finish but I don't quite want my first year as an undergraduate student to be over. I just don't, for some reasons. Not going to list 'em out. Go figure.  . . . . . No matter the outcomes, whether they are good or relatively bad, you know you've tried. I'd rather have a life of 'oh wells' instead of a life of 'what ifs' because in the end we only reg

Bachelor Science Dietetics: Midsem Break the Second

Image
Assalamualaikum, So far, the second semester was one hell of a semester. Even before the semester started, I was told to go back to college earlier than I should as I was involved in the college dinner, the most prestigious of all college events. My college that is. At the same time, I was involved in my course family day as an ajk that required continuous practices for senamrobik routine. So, I had two practices to attend to for about 3 weeks. Mind you the rehearsals were not just once but almost every night and sometimes evening, my time was not mine. In addition to those events, my class schedule this time is bizarre. From Monday until Thursday, I start my day at 8 a.m. and ends it at 5 or 7 in the evening. I totally have limited time to even rest properly.  After those two events were done, I decided to join another one. It's a sport-related event. No one would believe this at first but I am now one of the futsal representatives for my college. Training is to

Bachelor Science Dietetics: 1st Sem Break

Assalamualaikum, Sooo, thing's been going rather slowly after that camp. I am surely glad I made the decision to join because at least I know I'd spent part of my sem break doing stuffs I am definitely proud of. I also gained lots. So yeah. My best decision I've ever made as undergraduate so far. Nenek's not well. I hate that she's not as active and healthy as before. Of course she was not perfectly healthy but she was very much alive back before she had that 'fall'. Hm. Now, she's aching everywhere.  Today Ibu sent her for a massage and left me to cook for those young'uns before they get to school. I don't mind because I am always searching for the chance to cook before sem 2 starts in which I'll be cooking based on what I was told. Just now I had my dinner with nenek. I was eating like usual when suddenly nenek took the dish that I cooked and ate it. Em, wow. I felt goosebumps all over me. Usually I'm the o
